Urban Notion Bio:

Following a successful tour of Europe, including a performance at the prestigious London club “The End�, for DJ Friction’s “Shogun� night, Urban Notion are back in the studio working hard on music production and preparing for their busy summer schedule.

2007 has been a massive year for UN on both the performance and production front. Urban Notion’s unique sound and energetic live performances have attracted bookings as far as the Czech Republic. The diverse selection of drum & bass they play and the way in which they integrate Djing with the live elements of Saxophone and Mcing, leaves the crowd clamouring for more. Last time Goldie saw UN perform he demanded they fly to Sydney the following week to play support for his 40th birthday celebration.

With recent shows in Perth and Melbourne and prior overseas performances in Japan, Europe and the United States, UN have the experience to push their sound into the future and beyond.

Urban Notion have a string of releases due out over the following months. The next scheduled 12 inch drops in December on German-based Phunkfiction recordings. Following this will be releases on Goldie’s Rufige Label, a 12 inch on Progress ltd and a follow up release on Total Science’s Advanced recordings.

Production remains the focus of UN’s efforts, while also promoting regular events around NZ and running a weekly radio show on local station RDU98.5fm (Saturday nights 9-11pm). Watch this space!
