P-Vans
Since joining the Strictly138 crew in early 2006 Wellington based New Zealand DJ/Producer P-Vans has placed a major emphasis on crafting his own deep bass driven sound that echo’s his love of dark Dubstep roots while pushing things forward with a fresh New Zealand vibe.
In 2007 P-Vans made his mark on the NZ Dubstep scene with the seminal track Ghost Pennies signing to New Zealand’s first ever Dubstep label Bassweight Recordings. Since then P-Vans has released a slew of weighty dubs on the Black Sheep EP which have featured on NZ’s premier Dubstep compilation Every Day Dubs mixed by Jason Howson. P-Vans followed up from the Black Sheep Ep with the releases on Aquatic Lab Records (Aus) and DPR recordings UK.
P-Vans has been involved with hosting and supporting the worlds most revolutionary Dubstep artists including Mala, Coki - Digital Mystikz, N-Type, Plastician, Loefah, Kode 9, Distance, Cotti, Scuba, Zed Bias, RSD, FreQ Nasty and The Bug and holds down the fortnightly Homebass radio show on Radio Active 89fm along side the Strictly138 crew bringing fresh material to the Airwaves.
P-Vans DJ sets are rooted in dub bass combining influences of dark garage, dub and grime with an emphasis on quality NZ Dub plates
